Hello guys, meet you again in this corner. So, this is the part 2 of
'The Dreamer' that I have posted the part 1 at March 28th, you can
check it
here. The topic of 'The Dreamer' part 2 is '병' or Sickness. Do
you why? If you don't know what I mean, so read this post until it end. I
will try my best to explain it to you. In every 'The Dreamer' series, I will also give some example
based on my experience and true story from someone that maybe related
with my topic. I hope you will fully understand after read this.
Do
you know, why I used the word 'sickness' for the topic of The Dreamer
part 2? So, I was listening to a new single from SEVENTEEN's Vernon
(feat. Pledis Girlz) with the tittle '병 (Sickness)' last night (and keep repeating it). The
lyrics was so sad and have deep meaning (for me and especially Vernon). I
think Vernon wrote the lyrics based on his life story, so the feel of
the song was really strong even from the first. The piano instrumental
at first lead us to feels the song. (I know this is my song even from the start I hear the piano instrument.) Some part of the song is
"I can
feel their contempt against me", it's probably about his experience when
he joined '
Show Me The Money 4'.
Actually, for the first time I listen
to this song, the first thing that come into my mind was when Vernon was
getting mean and rude comments in show me the money 4. Maybe it's still
bother him. I remembered scene in SEVENTEEN variety '
Where is My
Friend's Island', when Vernon was going up and open his mind in front of
the members, he also talk about Show Me The Money 4. He writes what he
feels to his song, he's so talented. This is how you know someone is good rapper.

So,
what we can get from Vernon's song? I think, it's about getting strong
and be brave to prove our talent or potential to peoples that look down
on us.
In this cruel life, there's type of
peoples that like to judge other peoples (mind, dream, opinion, and
etc.) with such harsh and rude words, think that only their self are
better than the others. They will always watching us in every movement,
waiting our mistake to be judge of. Really, peoples need to stop
commenting on other people dream or talent or hardworking. Rather than
makes them look good, it just make them look bad and poor. Those kind of
action is just prove and showing their true colors, they're jealous
with others success that maybe better than them. They really need to
shut up. So stop commenting on people if you don't really know them
well. Always remember this phrase, '
Don't judge the book by it's cover'.
In
our journey to reach our dreams, there will always be those kind of
person. They said the same words to fear us. They just want to see us
fail. But, if we can gain strength from their words, and just focus and
keep going towards our dreams, I think we can achieve it. We should
achieve it to prove to them. Like Suga always said from his debut times
(or pre-debut) until now, that become his motto, '
I don't give a shit.'
means that he doesn't give a serious respons to peoples that said bad
words, harsh and rude comments towards him and his dream. In other way,
he doesn't care about what peoples saying about him and just focus on
his dream. And the result? Suga become the members of boygroup BTS,
becoming rapper and genius composer, he proved it to peoples that judge
him that he can do what he likes and want to do.
There's
would be hard time in our way to achieve our dreams. But if we can get
through those hard times, I'm sure that we will find our happiness. Make
those hard times to be our beautiful moment in life. Enjoy every
process and do the best to get better result. I ever heard people said,
"If we ever feel pains in our youth, it means that we are growing up and
become adult with strong and brave heart." Don't ever give up on your
dreams, and keep searching the way to achieve it. If you feel that your
dreams like dissappear, you can take a time to rest. But don't forget to
run again. No need to go far to start it again, you can start it
tomorrow.
Maybe, I should end this topic
