What comes on your mind when you heard the word ‘Youth’ ?

For me, the word youth are really a beautiful one. Youth is time between our childhood and
adulthood, time that supposed to be the most beautiful moment in life. Also defined as ‘the appearance, freshness, vigor, spirit and etc’. Youth also identifies a particular mindset of attitude, as in “He is very youthful”.  For certain uses, such as employment statistics, the term also sometimes refers
to individuals from the ages of 14 to 21.

Youth is the stage of constructing the self-concept. The self-concept of youth is influenced by several variables such as peers, lifestyle, gender, and culture. It is the time of a person’s life in which they make choices which will affect their future.

Last year on April 29th, BTS was comeback with their 4th Mini Album called 화양연화 pt.1. The whole album was tell the fans about ‘Youth’.  The album in English means ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life part. 1’. Before the whole album released, Big Hit was released the trailer tittled ‘방탄소년단 Comeback Trailer : 花樣年華’ at April 17th, with Suga’s passionate rapping and good lyrics. Suga tell ARMYs about his life, his youth.  And the tittle track of the album tittled ‘I NEED U’ also tell us about youth. The music video was really good, every member have their own story. In their teaser image, there’s photos with cherryblossom flower as backgroud that really match with the spring season.

And then, in December they make comeback with 화양연화 pt.2 with the tittle track ‘RUN’. The comeback trailer tittle ‘Intro : NEVER MIND’ was produced by Suga. Again, Suga tell us about his life story. In this intro, he tell us to keep looking forward and run towards our dreams, without having time to look around. For me, it means that we should focus on what will we do to achieve our dreams and no time to worries our sorrounding that maybe judge our way or our choice. We just need to focus on our dreams and slowly showing them that we can do it. Here’s some line that really motivated me.

Like I always said hundreds of time every day, “Never mind me”
I can have a taste of failure and frustration and bow my head
We are still young and immature, don’t even worry about it
Moss surely grows on a stone that doesn’t roll
If you can’t return, go straight through your mistakes and forget them all
NEVER MIND it’s not easy but engrave it onto your chest
If you feel like you’re going to crash then accelerate more, kid

So, the conclusion is, when we’re still young, still in youth age, let’s do our better and keep looking forward and run towards our dream without having time to look around. More focused on it inside of listening to people that always judging in us. It’s okay to listen to their judge, but just take the positive things. Make it our power to to do more. Take it easy and enjoy the step, shut them out with our successful. Life like there’s nothing tomorrow.

Today, I found a nice word that Rap Monster said at 화양연화 on Stage. He said, “Something can be beautiful because there’s something horrible. So, there are tough times. Life can be tough or it can be good. If you can accept that those hard times are part of beautiful moments in life, I think you can truly understand our Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa.”
